Music!

We are proud to announce the release of our new cd.  Please click our album page for details!

We pride ourselves in offering the best music in South Eastern Minnesota.  Visit some of our artists on the Links page.  Generally we have performances Friday nights, Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons, October through April, in our 90-year old community hall above the store.  Concert-goers enjoy organic popcorn, home-baked cookies, natural sodas, waters, coffee & beer, often shopping in the general store during intermissions.

For the most detailed descriptions of our events please see our most recent newsletter, or below following the Calendar in Brief.

CONCERT DESCRIPTIONS WILL ARRIVE SHORTLY

LOTS of new music and the good ol’ stuff, too, …

Please take a moment and read this on ticket sales:

Tickets are $5 -$10 per ticket per show-pay what you are able.  It's up to you-the ticket purchaser-to decide what you can economically afford for each concert.  See this page to reserve tickets.

Our hope at folk forum is that this system will be fair and that you'll be contributing what you're economically able to.  No-one will be turned away because of lack of funds-only lack of seating.  The bulk of admissions goes to the performers in the remaining amount is used for other program expenses, maintenance and repair, printing and mailing costs, and firewood.

We don't accept credit cards at this time.  After your reservation has been confirmed, you may mail a check or do it when you're getting some supplies or snacks.

Many of our concerts are sold out ahead of time.  We sell tickets in advance only until it is no longer possible due to time constraints; reservations for a sold out concert will be automatically canceled if payment is not received within 24 hours of show-time.  Purchasing tickets in advance is as easy as pie, so just go ahead and do it.  No-shows  forfeit their tickets, sorry.

Generally we write your names in a book, and you check-in with the person at the front door of the store prior to a concert.  If, for some reason, you need physical tickets (multiple parties from differing locations, etc.) then please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Some concerts will be sold out, so if it is down to the wire on the really hot shows, it may be good to call first and let us know you're sending for tickets.

Regarding children and shows that are sold out:   Free will donation applies to those who sit on the rugs up front, or who are small enough to sit on your lap.  We have such a limited number of seats (150) and our admission price is so low that we must reserve seats for full admission price in order to pay performers and cover printing/advertising costs.

Please send questions to the email address at the bottom of this website.  Thanks!
